Ways to Get Involved

  • Brown County Indiana Mountain Bike Trail Work

    Work on the Trails

We rely on volunteer-work for all of our trail maintenance, and are always looking for more help! We have monthly trail work days and a growing network of sawyers dedicated to keeping the trails clear. Check out our calendar of events to see upcoming trail days.

  • Brown County Indiana Mountain Biking Events

    Help out at an Event

Our main fundraiser each year is the Brown County Epic, a weekend-long festival of riding, music, food, and camping. This event relies on volunteers to keep it running smoothly. Contact us to see how you can help out this year!

  • Brown County Indiana Mountain Biking Committee

    Join a Committee

More of a planner? We could use your help! We have committees for marketing and trail signage, long-range planning, trail work, sawyers, and events. Reach out to see how you can help keep it rollin’!

  • Become a Trail Steward

Trail stewards are advocates for a particular trail within our trail system, and are responsible for walking or riding the trail at least once a month to clear drains, fix small issues, and alert the larger trail work committee if any bigger issues need addressing. They work to uphold the spirit of the trail to keep it a consistent difficulty rating as the trails evolve over time.

  • Become a Sawyer

Got some chainsaw skills? We have an amazing group of sawyers that work to keep the trails cleared of fallen trees. All sawyers need to be certified and meet some basic requirements, please reach out to learn more.

  • Log Your Volunteer Hours

Volunteer hours help our organization apply for grants and other funding. We also enjoy rewarding our volunteers for helping improve our trail system. Log your volunteer hours to be eligible to make sure you receive the rewards you deserve!

  • Volunteer Waivers

All volunteers for Brown County Mountain Biking are required to sign the Brown County Mountain Biking waiver along with every location’s waiver they volunteer at.
